For people aged 75 or more and those with certain medical conditions, Transport Tasmania requires annual medical certificate. If you need medical certificate for driving commercial vehicles/ heavy machinery/ private car/ motor cycle, please book an appointment with your GP. The service may not be covered by Medicare or other Insurance. Please refer to our Fee Schedule.

Vaccination may also be necessary in certain cases. Depending on one’s health status, travelers might consider securing health insurance coverage while abroad, which often necessitates a medical certificate from a certified practitioner. For children migrating from other countries or emigrating to foreign countries, immunisation record transfer will be necessary for their school admission or other matters. We are pleased to assist parents of the children with updating immunisation history to the Australia Immunisations Register (AIR) or provide other supporting documentation as required. Depending upon the complexity a time based fee may be charged by your GP.
